[tag]Balicasag[/tag], a marine sanctuary, is one of the more popular diving spots in the Philippines. The island is fringed by coral reefs where barracudas, white tip sharks and wrasse inhabit. It is located southwest of [tag]Panglao[/tag] Island in Bohol. A diving outfit is based here, the [tag]Balicasag Island Dive Resort[/tag] (contact no. 02 812 1984), which has nice cottages and a restaurant on top of a sand island.
