The onslaught of low-priced UMPCs like Asus Eee, Acer AspireOne, MSI Wind and HP 2133 in the market had Fujitsu send its new models of UMPCs. The U Series is stylishly finished with a high-gloss surface. It has a 5.6 inch screen at 1280 x 800 pixels – so far the highest for a UMPC. It runs on an Intel Atom processor at 1.6 GHz. The RAM is extendable to 1 GB and the hard disk to 120 GB. The UMPC weighs around 1.3 pounds and has a swivel screen to double as a tablet PC. The Fujitsu U series retails from $1500.
